Hiscox Actuarial Programme – London
Our three-year UK-based actuarial programme will build on the skills and technical knowledge you gained from university – you’ll be applying these to the insurance world from the day you join us.
We offer a comprehensive training programme combining in-house courses with specialist external ones. You’ll be supported through your actuarial exams and enjoy rotations across the different actuarial functions including pricing and capital management.
A passion for travel? Then you’ll be delighted to hear that our actuarial programme offers the possibility of an overseas placement to one of our offices in the US, Bermuda or continental Europe.
Graduate Programme Entry Requirements
To apply to the graduate programme, candidates are required to:
- Speak and write in fluent business English
- Have a solid academic record in actuarial science, business, economics, engineering, finance, maths or statistics, and have achieved, or be expecting to achieve, 320 UCAS points and at least a 2:1 degree
- Meet the entry requirements of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. Review the www.actuaries.org.uk website for further information
- Have the unrestricted right to work in the UK without the support of a work visa
- Be numerate, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills while also sharing our company values
- Be available to start the programme from September 2019 onwards
The Recruitment Process
There are four stages to the recruitment process for the actuarial graduate programme. You will be advised on the status of your application throughout the recruitment process.
