Hiscox USA/Bermuda Graduate Program 2020
We currently have a number of graduate opportunities available in the USA and Bermuda. Our graduate scheme runs for 27 months and gives you breadth of experience through rotations, three in underwriting and six rotations for the business graduate programme.
Graduate opportunities available in the USA:
Underwriting Graduate. Locations – Manhattan; New York & Atlanta
You’ll be able to combine your analytical ability with your people skills – a trader at heart, you’ll love building relationships and negotiating a great deal. You’ll gain a broad understanding of our business through three 9-month insightful and challenging rotations. Two of these rotations will be in underwriting - you could be working in anything from ‘big ticket’ risks, such as hurricanes, through to insurance for homeowners and small businesses. You’ll get exposure to our wider business through a rotation outside of underwriting, such as Pricing, Operations or Claims.
Finance Graduate. Location – Atlanta
You’ll work with and learn from experienced finance professionals and experience two fundamental areas; Financial Planning and Analysis – partnering a business unit and translating their future business plans into financial forecasts, and Financial Reporting and Control – recording the actual performance of our business and how we report these results to our leadership teams, investors and regulators. You’ll also spend time working with Internal Audit and before gaining experience in one or more additional areas of the Finance portfolio that are of interest to you.
Graduate opportunity available in Bermuda:
Underwriting Graduate – Hiscox Re, Bermuda
You’ll get in-depth experience and broad product knowledge through insightful and challenging rotations across our underwriting divisions. After gaining a broad understanding of our business during your time on the scheme, you’ll join Hiscox Re and ILS (Insurance Linked Strategies) in Bermuda as an Underwriter, where you’ll develop specialist experience in your field. Hiscox Re and ILS protect their clients’ assets against natural and man-made disasters, covering everything from earthquake and hurricane damage to cyber and terror attacks around the world.
